We’d like to wish everyone at AFC Wimbledon all the very best ahead of their Football League, League 2 play-off semi-finals against Accrington Stanley.

The Dons play their home leg on Saturday 14th May, kick off at 7.30pm and the away leg at Accrington is on Wednesday 18th May, kick off is at 7.45pm

A head of the play-off semis, AFC Wimbledon Manger Neal Ardley earned the monthly award for April after leading Wimbledon into the play-offs, but he was quick to salute the contribution of others.

“The manager gets an accolade, but to be perfectly honest with you it is saying that you are team of the month,” said Neal. “That is the players, staff, and everyone who puts the effort into it. When we started the month there were eight teams who could get that spot in the play-offs and we slowly but surely ground it down to one.

“By the end of the month it was just us. That is a huge achievement under pressure. We handled it better than anyone else to get there. That’s ‘well done’ to the players and I accept the award on behalf of all of us.”
